Top 5 Reasons Why I Suck at Blogging

May 3rd, 2014 No Comments »

1, I’m not getting paid to blog. I lose money by blogging and I need every cent I can get. How else am I going to be able to expand my Deadpool figure collection?

2. I want to use my talents to contribute something meaningful to the world. Take, for example, my ability to recall every single line from the movie Aliens and be able to use it in business meetings. The other day the line “Game Over Man, Game Over” was used in a meeting and it really worked in that setting.

3. When I find a free 30 minute time slot, I try to go to the gym. Holly made me get a gym membership, and not going to the gym takes a lot of effort and time.

4. I’ve changed. No, not like sex change changed. More like, where I used to have time to focus on blogging and I had the time to sit down and write stuff, there just haven’t been very many interesting things going on lately that I can write about. Unless you count that time where I mowed the lawn one morning. That was hilarious.

5. At work, in between meetings, I write quite a bit. When I get home, all I want to do is write emails and architecture documents for ME. Actually, that’s a lie. All I want to do is enjoy time with the family and cook and eat good food. And drink good beer. Preferably IPA.

(Now that I’ve said all of that, I’ll try to start blogging again soon.)

Oh God. I’m using AOL. And I like it.

Started using AOL reader as a replacement for Google Reader. It’s good. Unless Digg comes up with something better, I’ll be using it moving forward.

Also. AOL is funny now, as this was their response to my tweet on the topic:

Had some extra time this morning and was getting annoyed with some slowdowns on my old host, so switched over to Dreamhost that I’ve heard good things about. Let’s see how this goes.
