From Wikipedia via Kottke, a list of unusual software bugs. I’ve run into the Schrödinbug quite a few times in my life:
A schrödinbug is a bug that manifests only after someone reading source code or using the program in an unusual way notices that it never should have worked in the first place, at which point the program promptly stops working for everybody until fixed.

Did Dad Win At Chess?
You’re welcome.
/Sorry, dad.

P.S. My dad and I use Sprybytes Email Chess to play, since he lives in Sweden and I’m in Dallas. Works great with non-iPhone users and as an added bonus works on my iPad as well.

Anybody know of a way to pull in an RSS Feed with Amazon Affiliate code to a page or post within WordPress? I’ve been playing around with Feedity to generate a feed from an Amazon page and then RSSImport to display a feed on a page with shortcode, but haven’t found a clever way to add the affiliate code. Thoughts? Ideas?

Installed Facebook comments on this blog (Replacing Disqus). Just to figure out how (and if) it works. Where as on other sites I have where being anonymous is a good thing ™, and Discqus is great for that, on stjernstrom.com there’s no need to be anonymous. Comment away.

I got annoyed with how many clicks it took to find new Kindle books on Amazon, so I launched this site to make them easier to find. Enjoy and feel free to use. Affiliate links included to pay my hosting bill

Finally got access to Gmail Priority inbox on my gmail and Google Apps accounts. It’s as awesome as they claim it to be. Being able to prioritize incoming emails automatically makes my inbox life so much easier. With the lightning fast Chrome 6 browser, I don’t see a need to keep Outlook open. Buh-bye, Outlook, it’s been a nice 10 or so years, but I just don’t need you anymore.
p.s. Hey Google/Apple, can I get Priority Inbox on my iPhone next please?

Google just rolled out a new way to organize your inbox called Priority Inbox. Some people call this a game changer, can’t wait to try it out myself. Maybe it’ll finally get me out of Outlook hell? One less application open on my desktop would be a very good thing ™. I’ve tried so many things to get email organized and prioritized over the years, including inbox zero, and nothing has worked for me. As evidenced by the 1301 unread messages I have in my inbox right now. Here’s hoping this is the solution.
